SATComm partners met in Lisbon on December 3rd and 4th for a productive two-day meeting hosted by Greenvolt. All project partners were in attendance, creating a strong setting for focused discussions and fruitful collaboration.
The meeting focused on reviewing overall project progress and planning the final stages of algorithm development and their integration into the SATComm platform. Partners aligned upcoming priorities to ensure a smooth path toward project completion.
As part of the meeting, the consortium visited the Portuguese pilot at the Energy Community based at Esquadria, an industrial company in Sintra. The pilot will establish an Energy Community that brings together Esquadria, nearby companies, and residential users to benefit from cleaner and more affordable energy. The community combines solar generation with an energy storage system, including a battery co-financed by the SATComm project, enabling optimized self-consumption and smart grid interaction. Operating under the collective self-consumption framework and managed by EGAC, the system allows members to produce, share, and consume renewable energy together.
