SAtComm was represented at the Interreg Atlantic Area Annual Event, which took place at the Marine Institute Headquarters in Galway, Ireland, on November 12, 2025. Sean Lyons, project coordinator, attended the event hosted by the Northern and Western Regional Assembly.
The annual event brought together stakeholders from across the Atlantic Area to discuss ongoing and future projects aimed at fostering cooperation and sustainable development within the region. It served as a platform for networking, knowledge exchange, and the promotion of best practices among project partners.
The event was held in close liaison with the Atlantic Stakeholders Platform Conference and Interact Programme, featuring a joint session focused on “Blue Synergies.” This collaborative approach highlighted the strong cooperation between INTERREG Atlantic Area and the Atlantic Stakeholders Platform in supporting the implementation of the Atlantic Action Plan 2.0.
SAtComm was mentioned in the address made by Timmy Dooley, Minister of State at the Department of Agriculture, Food and the Marine with special responsibility for Fisheries and the Department of Environment, Climate and Communications with special responsibility for the Marine.
The Marine Institute hosted the Atlantic Stakeholder Platform Conference (ASPC) 2025 the following day, providing stakeholders an opportunity to reflect on progress made under the Atlantic Action Plan 2.0, five years after its launch.
